Learning Objectives
Identify high-performance water conservation technologies in plumbing fixtures and analyze their impact on reducing potable water usage in commercial building applications to meet LEED certification standards. Analyze the design, installation, and energy efficiency advantages of geothermal heat pumps to integrate sustainable, low-carbon HVAC systems into NJ residential and commercial projects. Analyze the three pathways (High-Performance, Bundled, and Streamlined) of the 2025 NJBPU New Construction Program to select the appropriate incentive structure for residential and commercial projects that align with state net-zero energy goals. Demonstrate compliance with the new NJBPU Application Portal requirements for early design integration, enabling project teams to secure funding during the design phase rather than as a post-construction submittal. Identify and manage potential hazards associated with high-altitude wind turbine components.
