About This Course

Natalie M. Stuart, Ph.D., Grid Modernization Research Scientist at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), provides an overview of the modern grid, its value and benefits, how it is achieved, relevant NJBPU initiatives, proactive planning, proactive load forecasting, and distributed energy resources aggregation and virtual power plants. Supplemental information includes a Grid Mod Vision Roadmap, the New Jersey Grid Modernization Forum, and grid-enhancing technologies. This presentation was delivered at the monthly Energy Efficiency Stakeholder Meeting of December 18, 2025.
